Malawi, first day shooting

After getting off to a late start, a couple of detours and stops later we eventually got to Ifgenia’s village. Ifgenia was on our short list of possible clients that we really wanted to work with so we made the drive out towards the Zambia border to meet her and do a brief interview whilst doing a wee bit of filming in and around her farm land and village.

It was such an amazing afternoon and I really was blown away by this lady, she has been through so much and continues to be so strong and just shines with warmth and smiles (and was a complete natural in front of the camera).

The rest of the village were all very friendly and welcoming and the kids, oh the kids, they just kept popping out from nowhere, I think they  quadrupled by the time we had finished.

Lindsey and her new friends

Tomorrow we drive West towards the lake where we will spend several days with our next client, more on that tomorrow.

Big thanks to the MicroFlicks Malawi team today, Jon, Lindsey, David and Limbani, you guys rule!

Michael it looks to be going brilliantly. The pics of you in the sea and fantastic and I see you and Jon have developed quite a following. Looks like you have some great stuff in the can already. Give a shout out to Lyndsey for me and I’ll continue to follow your progress over the next few days. Great to have you on board :-)

Hey David, thanks, has been a amazing week so far, we have finished shooting now and are taking a well earned days rest. The footage really looks amazing, can’t wait to start editing : )
